“Ocean Hope Webinar 2020: Ocean Literacy”
Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is spreading globally, which does not merely affect human health, but consequently affects the world economy and the environment significantly. While there are diverse ways of short-term and long-term effects of the pandemic, the Ocean Hope Webinar 2020: Ocean Literacy had invited together various local and international NGOs to come together to give light on experts view on the implications of COVID-19 to the marine realm in their respective field.
The workshop aims to:
1. Provide a platform for the committee members of Marina Club to conduct an online program.
2. Bring awareness and sense of responsibility to the audience to care for the oceans.
3. Discuss the negative and positive impacts of COVID-19 to the environment both locally and internationally.
4. Bring light to the audience on the role of Marine Biologist to further understand our ocean and the life it holds.
