OCEAN HOPE: BEACH CLEAN-UP

Led by Marine Biology bachelor’s degree students under Marina club, a beach clean-up program has been held on 7th January of 2022 located on UMT’s beach. This energetic event was committed to raise awareness among youngsters about sustaining a clean environment, as well as reducing damage done on our surrounding nature.

The “OCEAN HOPE: BEACH CLEAN-UP 2022” program aims to:

  1. Increase understanding of the significance in protecting marine species and ensuring the long-term sustainable use of ocean biodiversity
  2. Inspire the youths to join and create a sense of obligation in eliminating the harmful litters that affect our aquatic wildlife
  3. Propose an advantageous alternative that emphasizes the necessity of marine life protection and preservation.
  4. Give marine biology students the chance to learn and demonstrate their knowledge.
  5. Fulfill Marina Club’s goal of increasing public awareness of environmental and marine life concerns while developing the Marine Biology program.
