Without proper disposal of waste by the consumers, the marine life and their habitat could be threatened by the improper waste management. Hence, a workshop to spread awareness regarding the proper waste disposal by individual, domestic and commercial was conducted in hope to reach out to the local public.
To introduce and explain further on the ‘SDG 14: Life Below Water’ to the audience. The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) were adopted by Malaysia in 2015 with the rest of the United Nations Member States to perform immediate response towards poverty, protect the planet and ensure peace and prosperity for all people.
In an effort to tackle the environmental literacy regarding the environment and ocean, strategic partners from various renowned local and international NGOs such as from Indonesia and Brunei was approached to explain their role and opinion in tackling the implications of COVID-19 pandemic on the face of natural environment.
